FMDNS Extends Closure through 05/03/20

Families of Fred Moore Day Nursery School,

In compliance with the “Stay at Home” Order issued by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, FMDNS will extend our closure through Sunday, May 3.

Students, parents and staff are urged to remain vigilant in their efforts to stay healthy and stay at home.

Fred Moore Day Nursery School is scheduled to reopen on Monday, May 4.

Our Board will continue to evaluate the recommendations of the Denton County Public Health (DCPH) department, Denton ISD & the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to determine whether a longer closure beyond May 4 will be necessary.

On Wednesday, April 1, Denton County officials reported 25 new cases of the disease, bringing the total to 231 not including Denton State School numbers.

“This situation (loss of life) underscores the need to follow the Stay at Home mandate,” said Denton County Judge Andy Eads. “We need everyone’s cooperation to help protect the health of all our residents, especially our most vulnerable.”

Please reach out to your campus directors should you need anything further.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding, we will get through this together.
